Big headphones, DJ Headphones, Sony headphones, iPOD headphones, really, iono the difference in sound quality, etc, because i've only been using sony and ipod all my life is there any suggestions for a good headphone?, that's durable and is great quality? i'm looking for something in between 30-70 zz, or anything higher ill just look for on sell what do you guys use? and how are they?
Well I'm currently using Creative Aurvanas, a mid range kind of headphones, but I'm thinking of selling them to go for some Shure E4's. A lot of the stock headphones are really kind of bad when you compare them to mid ranged to high ranged headphones. If you're looking for cheaper ones, kontra made a thread about them a while ago
seinnheiser make pretty decent in ear headphones and they are not too pricey and the sound quality is fantastic.
okay okay, i know this is probably impossible for a 3rd generation ipod, but! i know a friend who has blue tooth, and a head phone w/ wireless! (i think to his cell phone) which is so cool, is there anything like that for ipod? haha or any regular mp3 players that itsn't a phone?
^i guess there's something in here about what you are looking for, probably just a mention of it haha... http://www.dramasian.com/forum/showthread.php?t=28962
I am not sure about OTHER mp3 players, but I remember seeing something like that for the iPod... They have 2 parts, one plugged into the charge port of the iPod which allows for bluetooth/wifi signals... Just ask around in a phone/Apple store
bluetooth headphones are rather expensive though and for the same price u can get better sound quality headphones and with bluetooth headphones u need to charge the headphones as well which is hassle.
yup oh well ill look around, thanks all, but side for these type of headpohnes, what kinda high quality headphones are u talkin bout bbes?
im talking about the Sennheiser CX300. there not too expensive and the sound quality is rather clear for its price.
is durability good? i don't like it when headphones (the tip of it) gets all nasty and worn out, when the color falls off and quality fades away slowly
Reporting in. Here's the break down. You get what you pay for as long as you stay away from Bose. Generally the more expensive headphones will sound better than the cheaper counter part. Of course, there are hidden gems in the budget headphone market that will knock your socks off and wont break your budget. I started a thread awhile back breaking headphone selections down by order of price. As you head towards the higher end market. Selecting a headphone will be depending on what kind of music and what you like. http://www.dramasian.com/forum/showthread.php?t=25117 Here's a table of what headphones go with which genre of music. Classic Rock: Grado Vocals: Sennheiser Rock/Trance/Rap: AudioTechnica or Beyer Dynamics. Each brand is known for their specific genre of music and excel in their field. Sennheiser are known for their mid but are a bit weak in the highs and lows. They're perfect for music with lots of vocals but lack in bass compared to others. AudioTechnica and Beyer Dynamics are known for their closed style headphones. They produce a much more direct sound and bass impact is much greater than other brands. This helps them excel in high and low frequency sound which makes them perfect for Rock, Trance and Rap. The style of headphones greatly affect your overall music experience. Full sized headphones, referred to as "Cans" come in 2 different styles. They're either considered "Opened" or "Closed" headphones. Whether the cans are opened or closed drastically changes the sound signature of the headphones. Open headphones let more sound escape, giving the headphones an airy sound, very much like listening to speakers. Closed headphones offer some isolation but it's not 100%.*** Because of this, the impact of the sound is much greater, this helps amplify the affects of bass. IEM or In Ear Monitor offer 100% sound isolation by design. These headphones physically isolate you from ambient noise by forming a tight seal in your ear. *** There are 2 different types of isolation. The type of isolation you want is offered physically. Spending money on higher end headphones will guarantee you better build quality. Because they cost more, you don't treat them the same when they break. Rather then throwing them away, they can be sent back to their manufacturers to be replaced or repaired usually free of charge.
lol kontra should you be telling him about the basics first before getting to brands? more specifically, specs, whats good whats not? ohms? decibels? frequency? blah blah?
Well, I figure if he's looking for a pair of headphones, I figure it's best to point him to the brand that specializes in the type of music he likes. I've read that the specs between the AudioTechnica ATH-A500 and the ATH-A700 were almost the same but the audio quality was noticeably better on the the A700.
ye but u rele don't need to look into headphones that much and i say the bass on the sennheiser that i recommended is pretty gd and its a real gem in terms of price and quality. u will find it quite hard to get better sound quality than those sennheisers for the same price.
use bose head phones buT they are expensive but quality is amaziNG ur looking to spend about £70 on them though
