Jacko's Wacko garage sale

  1. DIE-HARD MICHAEL JACKSON fans are in for a REAL treat.

The singer's most treasured possessions are going under the hammer - in the hope of raising up to £2million for the cash-strapped King of Pop.

Items such as Jacko's iconic glittery glove - unveiled in the 1983 video for his smash hit Billie Jean - famous stage costumes, flash pieces of jewellery, his luxurious tour bus and many of his paintings, sculptures, awards and arcade games are being auctioned off.

The glove - completely covered in clear Swarovski crystals - is expected to fetch up to £10,000 alone. The gilt and iron gates to Jackson’s Neverland ranch are also up for grabs - with a price tag of between £15,000-£20,000.

The sparkly black jacket he wore for his 1984 Hollywood Walk Of Fame star dedication ceremony is also going for a mere £15,000.

But the priciest item by a mile is Jackson’s custom-made 1999 Rolls Royce, which comes with an estimate of £100,000-£112,000. The extravaganza - to be held at a Beverly Hilton Hotel - starts on April 22 and will spread over four days.
Organisers say it is bound to give the public a rare glimpse into the private world of the controversial singer.

Darren Julien, President and CEO of Julien’s Auctions, said: “We have been amazed at the quantity and quality of the property from Michael Jackson’s collection."

“It is an eclectic collection being sold by an eccentric collector. “I can honestly say, that there will never be another auction like this one.”
Fans can bid in person and online during the sale, which will be broadcast live on US TV’s Auction Network.

Despite his own financial problems, Jackson, 50, is donating a portion of the proceeds to MusiCares, a charity founded by the Recording Academy to help musicians in need.

The superstar’s money troubles began when he was acquitted of child molestation charges in 2003.

He went into default on his sprawling Neverland property earlier this year, before an investment company stepped in to buy the loan. And last November, Jackson’s lawyers reached a settlement in a £4.7million breach-of-contract case brought by a Bahraini sheik.
