Jacky Wu gives wife a limitless credit card as she recovers from surgery A blank cheque seems to be popular Taiwanese host Jacky Wu's doting message to his wife after he gave her a gold credit card that has no cap limit. Chang Wei-wei had undergone surgery to remove her breast tumours last month and is now on the road to recovery. During the studio recording for his hit variety show Guess Guess Guess, Jacky laughed, "After this incident, she's been wondering why save so much money, that's why recently I've received an endless number of bills." Since the operation, the millionaire celebrity has spent more time with his wife, and has gotten her all sorts of nourishment and tonics. "I've felt more stress recently, but life is not without obstacles. The bigger the obstacle, the more satisfaction I feel when I overcome it." Jacky, who only revealed in 2000 that he has a family, is seen by the media as a loving husband, and added that it's his duty to take care of his family. In 2001 and 2005 respectively, he invested heavily in his wife's failed Lemongrass Hotpot and spa businesses. Last May, he got her a NT$3 million (S$131,000) Jaguar car for her 47th birthday. This time, he has publicly declared that she's the one he loves most.
Love is one thing but "limitless" credit card .. not good. She seems like a very materialistic woman for her to find the gift to be so great. My wife only wish I spend more time with her and nothing more. I am not saying that money is more important .. it's not. I just think that giving such a thing doesn't translate as a good husband and crap. Everyone can give money but what you actually take time and do is more important and meaningful.
^ +1 Not trying to generalise here but in Asia, I guess what he's doing is a way to show love. Afterall, most girls and their families wants them to marry into a rich family. And a husband that gives limitless credit like Jacky, is a whole lotta love. :l
