Thursday Decemeber 13, 2007 Hong Kong The gala premiere for Christmas animation hit Bee Movie dubbed version was held yesterday and was attended by Cantonese voice stars including Jan Lamb (林海峰), Stephanie Cheng (鄭融), Jerry Lamb (林曉峰), Peter So (蘇民峰) and Ricky Fan (范振峰). A guest appearance by the show's star Barry Bee Benson also captured the attention of the audience, but Jan raised a few chuckles when he insisted that Barry had not flown from America and there was a local inside the bee suit. Jan has dubbed the character that was played in the original by the film's creator Jerry Seinfield, who visited Hong Kong on a promotional trip last month. However, Jan said that he was disappointed that he was not able to meet his idol in person and he was very envious of Joe Nieh (倪震) and Vincent Kok (谷德昭) when they got his autograph. He added that when he first entered the industry, someone gave him a copy of Sein Language, which converted him in a huge fan of the American star. This is the first time that Stephanie has dubbed a movie and she said that her character is quite highly strung and very similar to her own personality. She revealed that she was very nervous because she was so inexperienced and the dubbing process was overseen by a representative from the production company. However, the atmosphere was lightened when the rep copied her and tried to speak in Cantonese.
