Beginning her career as a model, Janice Man (文咏珊) has worked very hard to develop an acting career. However, Janice was firmly on the B-list until after she signed with Sun Entertainment as her new management company and received a slew of opportunities last year. Janice first displayed her acting skills in the thriller, The Midnight After <那夜凌晨，我坐上了旺角开往大埔的红Van>, winning viewers’ good feedback, and later impressed in the crime blockbuster Helios <赤道>, earning the praise of co-star Shu Qi (舒淇). Janice’s acting has even attracted the attention of director Herman Yau (邱礼涛),who handpicked Janice to be the lead actress for his new film Nessun Dorma <凶手还未睡>, which will also star Andy Hui (许志安). Herman’s previous projects includes Sara <雏妓>, a film revolving around teenage prostitution, and which gave Charlene Choi (蔡卓妍) a platform to showcase her acting skills. Like Sara, Nessun Dorma similarly deals with dark social issues, and will have a scene in which Janice’s character is raped by Andy’s character. Due to her emotionally intense role, Janice was required to portray extreme depression once filming started. Absorbed in the portrayal of her character, Janice was seen breaking down in tears on the set. This only led to Herman giving more praise to Janice’s acting abilities. Janice will also have several nude scenes in the film. She was quick to emphasize, “The scenes are not meant to be sexy. There is nudity because the plot requires it.” Andy admitted that there will be several intimate scenes with Janice. On whether this worried his wife, Sammi Cheng (郑秀文), Andy said, “This is work. Hadn't heard from Janice Man in awhile now, good that she's doing films again. Thought she was a decent actress, still everyone is only curious about the nudity...Just don't disappoint.
She is very pretty but sometimes when they say nude scenes, it's really just nake backs or a lot of parts covered up with only some skin...
