Hmmm...I prefer sashimi over sushi. Cos I can't take too much rice, so I'll end up eating the filling only. I'm a big fan of salmon, scallops and sea urchin! Heheh. And I like yaki tori too...the grilled food they have. Yumm! And I like miso soup too. Don't really fancy tempura.

^Hmmm...hard to describe. It was served as a handroll...it looks like an orangey pile of mush...cos it's actually the sea urchin roe. Taste is creamy, sort of melts in your mouth...mmm...wasabi helps take away the smell, cos some ppl find it revolting

ok... hmm i must try.. does it taste something like... err does it taste like crab roe?

No...definitely not. The smell is different, the texture is different, the taste is different. Haha...I guess the only similarity is in the colour, though the sea urchin roe is slightly less vibrant orange in colour

Yeah, have been to Japan last year. First time was the best and it was for 26 days. 2nd time was just 2 months later but my main reason was the Fuji Rock Festival and we went from HK to Tokyo with a HK travel tour. (I have more food pics from Japan, buit must sort them out first)

I might be going to a japanese buffet next weekend. Gonna start preparing my stomach and find more people to join in. Hopefully make that japanese restaurant lose money. lol

Can you make pics of the food you're eating? I'm going the 21st to a Japanese restaurant, might try out the tricks to hide the rice hehe.

Fortunately, sashimi is included in the all-u-can-eat menu. No need to hide the rice -rolleyes

Hehe, you know, once a waiter said to us: "don't eat too much sashimi, you'll risk worms in your stomach" because we went ordering like 4/5 times tuna and salmon sashimi only. He didn't mean it in a meany way though. (I know we'll risk worms if we eat too much sashimi but that's why you always should eat it with wasabi to kill it)

Wonder whether they would have put a sashimi stop for us if we kept going! -lol
