The following video montage is a user created video that critiques certain “scandals” in the manga world concerning plagirism. The very first images that appear were really the basis of several news items in Japan a couple of years ago and incited discussion as to just what can be really considered plagiarism. This funny video shows that the answer is “just about anything”. Do you see the resemblance???
lol that was cute. I liked the one with the kitten slapping the other one in the face...and 01.46...wow lol
That was really funny, I wonder how much time it took the makers of this vlip to collect these pics. But there's this manga phenomena called doujinshin, sort of copycat comic but the creator has added his own subtle or significant style in it and change the storyline. Although this doujinshin practice is illegal in theory, there is a huge market for it and the creators of the original work somehow don't sue these copycats. There's a theory that says the Japanese manga market let this happen to keep the manga market fresh and flourishing.
don't they say that copying somebody is the first form of flattery....(or somethin like that) that guy must like kitties....cuz they are in a lot of them
I believe parodies are allowed in the States (and the Japanese law is almost a mirror of the US law), hence creators of parodies don't have to ask permission from the original creator.
