Popular Japanese men’s magazine, ‘GQ Japan‘ will publish a SNSD special in their July issue which will hit newsstands on the 24th. The special issue analyzes the factors to SNSD’s success in the music industry. According to a report from the ‘Japanese Oricon’ on the 23rd, ‘GQ Japan’ will also present the thorough nurturing program of SM Entertainment. Through an interview with SNSD, the magazine reported that the trainees go through rigorous daily training sessions which can last to upwards of 10 hours a day and usually takes 5 to 8 years to debut. ‘GQ Japan’ also picked out the wide utilization of Youtube as one of the main success factors for SNSD to gain international fans. The magazine is said to contain an extensive interview with SNSD and this will also mark the first time for SNSD to appear on a Japanese men’s magazine. Earning approximately $32 million USD in just the first half of this year in Japan, SNSD has lived up to their reputation, marking their name in the Japanese market as a popular group. According to the Japanese ‘Oricon Chart’ on their ‘First Half of 2011 Evaluation’, which was published on the 22nd of June, SNSD has ranked 5th in sales of their singles, albums, DVD, and other materials. This report included all types of sales starting from December 27th of 2010 to June 20th of 2011. Both limited edition (Japanese version) have posters on YesAsia. If you buy the Taiwanese version of the limited edition.. it doesn't have poster. & its so much cheaper!
