none cause they all dont work out of japan!!

There is one way to get half the functions working and that is using a hypersim card but its pretty fucked up so i wouldnt bother -_-

*edit* theres is one that ive posted before, the Sharp SH920, the japs made a hk/taiwan version so u can probably go see if they managed to unlock it!!!

Do Japanese phones work outside of Japan?
The majority of Japanese phones will not work overseas due to network differences; however, there are phones available that can operate on 3G and GSM networks (only in certain countries) with the appropriate international roaming plans, although while overseas some of their advanced functions will likely not work.
Generally speaking it is not possible to use a Japanese phone with a foreign service provider because most do not use SIM cards and the few that do are locked and are difficult (if not impossible) to unlock. Also, Japanese phones are designed at a hardware and software level to work with only a particular service provider. As a result they are not interchangeable even between Japanese service providers.

Actually most phone from japan do work in other counties (Well, I know Canada is one)

Our "SIM card" does not actually fit the phone, however, if u shave the size off by a bit then it will fit..
If those who go to "Pacific Mall" know what I mean. =)

The only disadvantage by doing so is losing the ability to SMS (text msg)

Any phones with Sim Cards and support Quad GSM should be fine. I think SoftBanks have a few models which can be bought at Japan.
