It was rumoured that his latest song ‘Mine Mine’ is based on his past relationship with Jolin Tsai

Taiwanese singer Jay Chou will be releasing his 11th album on Nov 11.

According to the Taiwanese media, Jay revealed his latest song 'Mine Mine' yesterday.

The song, penned and composed by the singer, consisted of thought-provoking lyrics such as "You said we are over, why should I help you hold an umbrella", depicting feelings towards an old flame.

Other lyrics included, "When my ear itched, it meant that you're talking behind my back. I don't think I'm that bad. You don't have to tell to your friends that. Wouldn't your friends be awkward when we reconcile in future," revealing his wish to reconcile with the girl in question.

Jay has the habit of communicating his thoughts and feelings through his songs.

Previously, it was rumoured that the song 'Unworthy' was penned for Patty Hou. However, Jay refuted the claim.

Furthermore, Jay's lyrics for the song 'Rainbow' and 'Rewind' -- a song which he wrote for Jolin -- were written in a way, which seemed to respond to each other.

It is believed that the dance in the music video for 'Mine Mine' is similar to the LA-styled dance Jay and Jolin performed for his song 'Give me the time of a song' at the Taipei Arena last year.

Rumours of the pair reconciling with each other began surfacing after the performance, resulting in many speculating that the song 'Mine Mine' is dedicated to Jolin.

However, the line 'You still park your car on the red line, I'll pay the fine for you' seemed to suggest that the female lead in Jay's song referred to previous rumoured girlfriend Jessie Chiang. This was because while Jolin and Patty had their own private garage, Jessie did not have one.

Jay also denied the rumour, saying that "the song was written for the youths these days. Don't read too much into it".

In other related news, Jay's girlfriend Hannah Quinlivan was spotted at JVR, Jay's record company, yesterday. The media then speculated that Hannah was cast as the female lead in the singer's latest music video.

To that, JVR expressed, "Jay's music video is still in the making. Please look out for it."
