Jay Chou slammed for stinginess

Taiwan pop star Jay Chou was slammed by netizens for his stinginess while filming his debut movie The Secret That Cannot Be Told.

It happened when Jay was filming a graduation ceremony and hired 400 extras to portray as students… and only paid those extras ~USD1 per hour salary.

Most of the extras didn’t mind though, as their purpose was to see their idol Jay Chou in person. The netizens however are not happy and claimed that Jay was stingy and the production team was using Jay’s popularity to exploit young fans.

If these fools were willing to do it for $1/hour then I don't see what's wrong with it. Jay isn't responsible for these people to be stupid enough to do it for that little.

Omigawd, I'll do it for free to see Jay Chou, and I bet those people working as extras don't really care about the money either! ^.^ lol! After all, why else would they agree to getting paid 1 buck, yah? ^.^ It's worth it still; an experience to be have anyways.

besides, it's the company that should be blamed if they gotta scream at something. What's up with them picking on Jay? o_O

in america people do this extra stuff for free if it only requires what they're doing. People need to let celebrities alone!
