Multitalented Taiwanese artiste Jay Chou is not just about singing, acting and directing; he is also spinning his own news. More recently reported to be dating Jessie Chiang, new girl in the industry, Chou turns this "relationship" which is the central of the public's attention to his favor, by featuring her as the female lead of his small screen debut directorial "Pandamen". According to Taiwan's "Next Magazine", Chou also ensured that there are no intimate scenes for Chiang in the drama, eliminating all kissing and hugging scenes. In fact, this is not Chou's first attempt at creating hype on his works through rumors. When he was rumored to be dating Hebe from S.H.E, he also took the chance and casted her in his music video, attracting more eyeballs by creating juicy stories for the press. This time, he is using the same tactic again, to promote Chiang and "Pandamen" and it does seem to have worked its wonder. According to the magazine, though Chou is named the director of "Pandamen", he is actually only involved in a few important scenes, some of which include all of Chiang's solo scenes shot in Taiwan, showing his attentiveness to his rumored girlfriend's virgin screen performance. Previously, Chiang also sang the soundtracks in Chou's last film "Secret" even though she was not a singer yet. Later on, he recommended her to release a solo album and even penned the songs personally using a pseudonym.
