Jay Chou loves to use the word "diao", causing disturbance again. But this time, it doesn't really affect him, but an athletic shoe advertisement that was exposed to mainland China yesterday. Jay cooperated with a magazin to promote a new hat, and is selling it online. There's a "diao" word on the hat, and the hat finally sold at 10,300 yuan; mainland fans penetrated the official website to compete for the price, but the local media started to point fingers. Many parents of fans think that Jay is setting a bad example, he even wants to have a "diao" word on a hat and sell it online, it's absurd. Actually, the "diao" word isn't the first disturbance in mainland; but in Taiwan, it's a word that many teenagers used - the meaning is "approves a lot, very great." Jay expressed through Alfa Records Company that he won't because of this matter, change his way of talking and not use the word "diao" again.

Yesterday, Jay Chou was at Nanchang having a fan meeting. This is the first time he did a self-directed self-written athletic show advertisement. The advertisement is filled with Chinese culture and background. For his directing his first advertisement, the local media gave him very high appraisals, commended the photography technique that has Zhang Yimou's style. Jay also said: "I have a lot of interest in advertisement, I was very confident when I was filming, also hoping that I can be a movie director, even though the filming process is very tedious, but the product will also come out with a very achieved feeling." What a pity that even though this ad was filmed in Taiwan, only mainland fans can see it.

Jay Chou also didn't forget to give advance notice for his new album. He said: "All the song lyrics are written already, they're just waiting for me to go sing it." For this new album, he wrote a total of 20 songs, and he's going to pick 10 out of them. He doesn't want his fans to worry, when he was filming for his movie, he had a lot of musical inspirations, it definitely would not affect the quality of his new album. Moreover, he will start to promote this new album this summer.

diao = dui, yeah i could see that... taiwanese is more similiar to cantonese. in fact all stephen chow movies are dubbed into mandarin by taiwanese people.
