After his contract expired he spoke with Eric Tsang and with the support from Eric, Jerry recently decided to sign with "rival" station to become host of the 2008 Beijing Olympics for ATV. Signing with ATV means that he will not be able to take part in the new edition of Super Trio, something which Jerry finds tragic. Friday night was Jerry's first appearance as an ATV host, for the 2008 Beijing Olympics, where he revealed his contract with TVB expired in June and because ATV was able to work a schedule around his CRHK job, he signed with them. Signing with ATV would mean he would not be able to host the new edition of Super Trio and although Jerry feels it is tragic he also feels, from being with no television station to TVB and from TVB to ATV, are all processes [of life]. Jerry is not afraid he would not be able to re-join TVB because there have been many artists who have gone from TVB to ATV and back, and because TVB is such a big company they won't take these matters to heart. Jerry reveals he spoke with Eric about his [career] direction after his contract expired and Eric supported him and his decision. Jerry says, "Eric Tsang brought be into this business and without his approval I will not leave." Asked whether he will sign with ATV as an artist, Jerry says he will only consider it if it does not interfere with his CRHK radio job.
