Tuesday March 27, 2007 China Chinese action hero Jet Li is in negotiations to play the villain in the third installment of the successful “Mummy” films, it was reported during the weekend. Li, most recently seen in “Fearless” and period epic “Hero,” would star as the mummified monster as the action moves to China, according to movie industry journal The Hollywood Reporter. Although plot details are being kept secret, the film would begin in ancient times before switching to a post World-War II setting. One scene would also involve the terracotta warriors, the collection of several thousand men and their horses that were originally constructed to protect the tomb of Ying Zheng, first emperor of the Qin Dynasty. The “Mummy” films have grossed nearly US$850 million worldwide since the launch of the first movie in the series “The Mummy” in 1999. credits: xinhuanet, asianfanatics.
Hmm.. I didn't like the Mummy 2 but I think it would be cool to have the third sequel set in China.. esp with the terracotta warriors !
well, they were bound to have another sequel to it anyways..., after all, theres always some special weird item gleaming at the end of the movies >.< I think its rather cool that they use Chinese art and the terracotta soldiers, seems so... new But... I'd hate to hear Jet Li making weird sounds when he pretends to be a Mummy Maybe he'll speak in Chinese when he talks -rolleyes
lol I for one don't like Brendan Fraser at all.. something about it.. but damn.. if Jet Li's in it... a mummified monster?? why not a Kangsi?? watch we'll have to wait 2010 to see that ish.. Jet Li comin' back hard with all these movies..
yea.. he is good.. but isnt he always the good guy? except in The One.. he isnt very good playing villian is he? so used to his hero image
he was bad ass in Lethal Weap 4... oh n Jackie Changgg played a villain back in the dayy.. he's gonna be a badguy in Rouge aka War...
