Taiwanese artist and Fahrenheit member Jiro Wang (汪東城) lends his voice for this summer's animated movie "Chibi Maruko-Chan: A boy From Italy"-《櫻桃小丸子:來自意大利的少年》. Jiro revealed that he has been a long-time fan of the series, and was honoured to have a chance to voice the main titular character the Italian boy who is also the love interest of Maruko chan. As his first Cantonese speaking role, it was challenging but that only fueled his desire to try do his best. Having said that, it took him roughly 80 tries to pronounce one of his lines. “Although my Cantonese is pretty bad, during the recording, there was a lot of effort put in, and the pronunciations were fairly accurate as it could be. Hopefully everyone will be able to see how hard I’ve worked on it. Being able to complete this project in the mother language is a dream come true!” The Cantonese version of the movie will also star the voices of Myolie Wu (胡杏兒), Bob Lam (林盛斌), Babyjohn Choi (蔡瀚億), Joyce Cheng (鄭欣宜) and Jacqueline Chong (莊思敏). ~~~cred: mingpao
