JJ World Tour Concert begins at home Local singer JJ Lin is conquering the stage again. His world tour concert 2009 will kick start in hometown Singapore this end of March. With less than a month to go, JJ is already all prepared with high confidence to meet his fans. Besides hoping to showcase his hard work to fans, JJ revealed during his concert rehearsal that he has some familiar faces in mind that he hopes to see among his audience. Taiwanese singer and songwriter Fan Weiqi (more affectionately known as Fan Fan) and local girl group BY2 have been invited as guest performers with whom he will be having intimate connections with; and JJ promises the performance to fire up the concert. When asked if he is afraid that Fan Fan's boyfriend, Blackie, will be jealous, JJ laughed, "He will not be here. I didn't invite him because I told him I don't have enough budgets. I can only afford to fly one person here." Though full of praises for the girl with pleasant dispositions and talented songwriter with great vocals, JJ standing at just 1.72m, has one request for the slender 1.71m tall lady: to refrain from wearing heels onto the stage. When asked of his performance item with Fan Fan, JJ refused to reveal anything, leaving a little surprise for people to check out from the concert. However, he revealed that he would be staging an impersonation show to "provoke" the audience. For starters, JJ hopes to impress the audience with his newly learnt dance and instrument. At the same time, he hopes his friends, including Charlene Choi whom he featured in new song "Small Dimples", will be able to witness his fruits of labour. "I did invite Charlene but she is busy filming a drama; I'm not sure if she'll be able to turn up. I hope to have a surprise that day. If she cannot make it, I'll be really disappointed. But if she shows up, I'll definitely grab her up onto the stage," JJ said. He admitted to have also invited Alice Tzeng, Taiwanese actress whom he partnered with in Taiwan drama serial "So I'm Not Handsome" and has openly expressed admirations for. The concert that falls on Mar 28 also has a special meaning for JJ; he will be celebrating his 28th birthday one day before the concert. "This is the first time that I'm celebrating my birthday openly with fans in Singapore. This is like a birthday gift for myself. I do not usually celebrate birthday or have any parties. This concert is an unique way to celebrate my birthday." JJ performs for one night only at the Singapore Indoor Stadium on March 28 at 8pm.
