On March 19th, Johnny & Associates which canceled all concerts in March due to the Great Tohoku Kanto Earthquake, has revealed that they are planning to hold concerts utilizing low electricity, starting in April.

After the disaster, 18 stages (by 6 artists) were canceled, and Yamashita Tomohisa’s (NEWS) 2 stages in Taiwan had also been postponed. According to a representative of Johnny & Associates, “There are some requests that they wanted to hear JE boys’ voices. So, we hope to hold live concerts which could send cheerful message to the devastated areas, while we refrain from using large-scale stage effects.”

Although there is still a possibility that the concerts may not happen due to the energy supply circumstances, they are working on a plan to try to make it happen. Usually, their concerts have high electricity consumption (about 3000 kilowatts per stage) due to the splendid stage effects, however, with the new plan, it will be reduced to 1/10 of the normal electricity consumption.

At this moment, Yamashita Tomohisa’s concerts at Osaka-Jo Hall (4/1~4/3), and Tackey & Tsubasa’s concerts at Yokohama Arena (4/2, 4/3) will be held as planned.

That's stupid... Johnny is that greedy, they want to use up the power that's better off for the less fortunate, for their own benefit? Low... They better be donating the ticket sales to the earthquake and tsunamie victims.

There are definitely other ways to bring joy to their fans.
