TAIPEI : Sparks are rumoured to be flying between popular Taiwanese singers Jolin Tsai and Wilber Pan. The rumour mill went crazy on July 8, when the two were spotted by the paparazzi going on what was supposedly a secret date at a crushed ice store in Taipei. Despite being accompanied by their assistants, Tsai and Pan were seen to be having a good time, laughing and chatting with each other. The incident just made everyone even more curious about the relationship the two share. Tsai and Pan are known to be Mahjong buddies, and when Pan had to undergo a leg surgery at the beginning of the year, it was reported that Tsai had taken the trouble to make a long distance call from Japan to check on him. When quizzed if he had any feelings for the sexy Queen of Mando-pop, Pan replied, “Of course there are feelings, if there weren’t any feelings, we wouldn’t even be good friends. The longer you know each other, the slower the development.” Pan, however, did admit that he liked Tsai’s smile and admired how seriously she took her work. At Pan’s recent celebratory concert for his latest album, “007”, it was no surprise then that Tsai made an appearance as his guest, even performing a sexy dance while sitting on his lap. “Jolin is a really loyal friend, I’m really thankful to her for coming,” said Pan after the concert, while Tsai slipped away after her segment without speaking to the media. This is not the first time Tsai, 28, has been romantically linked with high profile stars. She reportedly dated Taiwanese singer-songwriter Jay Chou as well as actor Eddie Peng. Meanwhile Pan, who is also 28, was also known for having a slight ‘crush’ on former Taiwanese anchor, Patty Hou, who was also known to be the beautiful ex-girlfriend of Chou, after he and Tsai split. Tsai and Pan have maintained that they are just “good friends”, however, Pan might have given himself away when reporters asked why aren’t the two a couple. “I don’t despise dating, but what we have now is good too,” he replied smilingly.
