I encountered his work by sheer coincidence, some huge bronze sculptures amidst the concrete jungle. The details are crude at best, but the movement of his pieces is strikingly unmistakable. One of the most renowned contemporary Chinese artist from Taiwan. His work can be found in various parts of the world, and in Hong Kong in particular, he was commissioned to provide sculptures outside the Bank of China Tower in Central, Hong Kong. His work can also be found outside the university library of Chinese University in Hong Kong, called door. A museum built in the honour of the artist can be found in Taiwan, just outside Taipei. Which material would you perfer instead of stone? I think stone fits perfectly and I like the last two statues.
If the sculptures has to be made from stone, the works are more likely to be damaged during transportation... I like it with bronze, they don't look too shiny and in fact, easier to manage for the artist
hmmmm....crudely formed...yet with sensitve and clear forms... not really my style ..but i think i qualifies as art. whow..how did u encouterd this work by 'conicidence'??
