'Man Of Steel' Writer Talks Batman, 'Justice League' Movie 'If I were offered it, I wouldn't say no,' David S. Goyer says about potential crossover film. With Superman making a triumphant return to the silver screen in "Man of Steel," fans around the world are wondering if (or perhaps when) the world of DC Comics will get the "Avengers" treatment and pair the last son of Krypton with another hero like Batman. MTV News spoke with David S. Goyer, the writer of "Man of Steel," at the New York City premiere of the movie to find out how that kind of meet-up might take place, but don't expect to see Christian Bale or Joseph Gordon-Levitt fighting crime opposite Henry Cavill. Goyer said that the Christopher Nolan movies, which he co-wrote, do not exist in the same universe as the newest Superman film, which ruled out the much-rumored Gordon-Levitt cameo. "The 'Dark Knight' films do not exist in the same universe. Zack [Snyder] has gone on record. The fact that we have Wayne Industries on the satellite, Bruce Wayne exists in this universe," Goyer said. "Lex Luthor exists in this universe. Other metahumans do exist in this universe, so the hope is, depending on how the film does, that we'll be able to roll into some other films." What Goyer may be referring to is a "Justice League" movie, something that he is already rumored to be writing. When MTV News' Josh Horowitz asked him about it directly, he did not hide his enthusiasm. "If I were offered it, I wouldn't say no," Goyer said. "Well, what are you going to do after Batman and Superman? How do you top yourself? I can't go back to Metamorpho after this." "Man of Steel" opens in theaters this Friday, June 14. credits: MTV
Then the first thing he has to do is re-write and re-do a Green Lantern movie because the last one was soo crap
If he is following the footsteps of Avengers then they will need a Wonder Woman movie, Flash, and Green Lantern movie (as above said, the Green Lantern movie sucked)
Christian Bale gives up Batman role Christian Bale will not be returning to the role of Batman – in a Justice League movie or any other film. Speaking to Entertainment Weekly, the British actor confirmed his trilogy of films as the caped crusader for Christopher Nolan between 2005's Batman Begins and last year's The Dark Knight Rises had sated his interest in playing the superhero. "We were incredibly fortunate to get to make three. That's enough. Let's not get greedy," he said. "Chris always said he wanted to make it one film at a time. And we ended up sitting there looking at each other, saying 'We're about to make the third.' We never really knew if we were going to get to be there, but if that was how it was going to be, this was where it should end as well." Bale said the time was now right for another man to play Batman on the big screen. "It's a torch that should be handed from one actor to another," he said. "So I enjoy looking forward to what somebody else will come up with." A Justice League movie, which would see Superman, Batman and Wonder Woman uniting on the big screen, is in the works at studio Warner Bros following the $520m (£340m) box-office success of Superman reboot Man of Steel. It is expected, however, that a sequel to Man of Steel will move into production first. US blog Latino Review set tongues wagging in the fanboy community in March by suggesting that Bale would return as Batman in Justice League, with Nolan overseeing the project in the same way he produced Man of Steel. Warners also produced the British director's Batman movies and owns screen rights to all DC comics superheroes. However, Bale said he was not aware of more than the most basic details regarding Justice League. "I have no information, no knowledge about anything," he said. "I've literally not had a conversation with a living soul. I understand that they may be making a Justice League movie, that's it." credits: the guardian
Bale's Batman is done. His universe is finished because Bruce Wayne's dead. They will establish a new Batman in the Snyderverse. I'd love to see maybe Karl Urban do it lol
