Justin Lo and Stanley Cheung attended to a RTHK function and share how they deal with adversity with hundreds of primary school students. When students are asking questions, one asked how does he about the fight with Gary Chaw that happened earlier, causing the other present students to applause and laugh. Justin asked back with a laugh, "Did the reporters ask you to ask this question?" Then he said, "That incident is a very serious news for me, and it changed how I handle certain things. I wasn't fighting; I was just trying to break off the fight. In fact, it could've handle in a better way. I could walk away and not to fight with him. That's all." Before the end of the event, a child gave him a calligraphy painting with the character '忍' (endure) to him. Justin commented, "I'm enduring a lot already, even now!" When he was being photographed with the kids, Justin turned around and asked the little girl, who questioned him about the fight, "Did the reporters tell you to ask that question earlier?" The little girl denied. However, Justin didn't seem to believe her. A reporter went up and ask Justin with anger, "Did you get your answer?" Justin said, "She said yes!" That reporter said again, "You shouldn't do wrong to this student!" Justin then asked the little girl again, but the she said, "NO!" The reporter requested Justin to apologize, but Justin then left with a phone on his hand. (Takungao version: Justin's assistant pulled him away.) Justin held a press conference to clear up the incident, "I saw a reporter talking to that little girl, and that little girl is the last to ask questions. She is also the only one that ask question with a piece of paper in her hands. I don't think she is this brave to ask that question in front of the teachers and students. So I asked her, 'Little girl, did the jei jei (the female reporter) tell you to ask me that question?' She nodded and it disappointed me. It's okay to write bad things about me, but please don't pollute little kids. I hope that reporter will reflect herself. She also required me to apologize; I was stunned." That reporter explained again the little girl wrote the question down on her own. In the end, Justin concluded no one needs to apologize. [The Sun & Takungpao, K]
Wow .. the incident is old news now and it wasn't that big of a deal; I can't fathom why reporter still wanna chase after the story and to use a kid .. that was just low, low, low strategy. I too agree with Justin .. doubted that the kid would've asked such a question in the first place. They don't care about those stuffs .. lol
Normally under this situation... the reporter will try to create some unnecessary news just to increase their gossiping news....
^ i agree .. when she couldn't get a story she wanted; she gotta make a scene to write up another story so she can turn in her report at work. poor work ethic.
