Girl group Kara (composed of Park Gyuri, Nicole, Han Seung Yeon, Goo Hara, and Kang Jiyoung) is scheduled to hold an exclusive concert at the Tokyo Dome in Japan as the first Korean female artist. During their 2012 Sigma Festival in Okinawa concert on October 8, Kara made an official announcement that another exclusive concert will be held at the Tokyo Dome. It is planned to be held on January 26 in the following year. It is considered as a fruit of their hardworking activities in Japan for the past three years, and they are the first Korean female artist to have a confirmed concert schedule at the Tokyo Dome. This huge arena accommodates about 50,000 people, and it is known as the dream stage among Japanese singers. So far, the only Korean singers that performed at the venue are TVXQ, Rain, and Big Bang and obviously, they are all male artists. Kara is going to add themselves to the list, as the first female artist to perform at the venue. Three years after their debut, they are walking shoulder-to-shoulder with top singers in Korea, also confirming their reputation in Japan as top stars. Beforehand, Kara conducted its first Japan exclusive concert tour titled Karasia. It began in Yokohama then continued in Osaka, Nagoya, Fukuoka, and Tokyo. Additional concert was held at the Saitama Super Arena. As a result, they performed at six different cities and 12 concerts in total with all the tickets sold and 150,000 people throughout Japan. After wrapping up activities of their fifth EP Pandora in Korea, they are currently staying in Japan preparing for the promotion for their 7th Japanese single Electric Boy.
