I wanted to ask a few questions about Karaoke in HK. Is there like, a major chain of Karaoke places there? I mean, so you can make sure it's not a dodgy place headed by traids lol How recent are the songs? How long does it usually take for a new song to become available? Is there usually a good selection of HK AND Taiwan songs? Are Japanese and Korean songs common at all? What about classic songs from aaages back? And some more personal questions: Do you find that there are a few songs which are particularly easy to sing? (not in terms of the words, but as in the notes arent difficult to hit correctly) What are your favourite songs? What about artists? I havent been to Sing K before, any other kinda tips and warnings you guys can give?? TY All!
Red Box, Green Box, Neway are the major karaoke chains in HK, pretty sure they are triad free lol Pretty much all songs are available, new songs take a few weeks (depending on how fast they make the MV) to be used. Yes there is a very vast selection of music. No comment, not fast song I guess -lol
I mostly just sing western songs, I have only been to karaoke bars in NL and Australia so I have been told that they have huge variety of popular old n new chinese songs, english classics... n there should be stuff like backstreet boys too... not sure if they have new songs tho Also, i could tell u my fave songs to sing when i go sing k... but it doesnt mean it would suit ur voice.... its a personal thing dont u think? dont worry abt it... first song u sing u might feel a bit nervous but u will be fine along the way...! my tip for u : dont drink too much before u sing... otherwise ud look insanely stupid n then ppl are gonna record u n put on YOUTUBEEEE.... hahaha
you should just enjoy your time at karaoke; why think so much about what song to sing or how things will turn out. you're not a superstar so no one's gonna laugh at you if you sing poorly. my friends and i just get a room so we can talk, sing, eat, and play games. i sing extremely bad; oddly enough, i always get 100 whenever i sing .. no kidding .. the system is pathetic...lol
