Despite reports claiming Karena Ng (吳千語) and boyfriend Raymond Lam (林峯) have plans to be married within two years, Raymond denied the rumors citing his busy schedule. Karena also refuted the claims at a promotional event, saying that she has not thought about marriage and hopes for a surprise proposal. Karena attended a Chow Tai Fook event to promote the jewelry maker’s latest wedding collection today. Karena appeared in an elegant white wedding gown, wearing sparkling earrings and necklace worth over $10 million HKD. Throughout the event, Karena repeatedly raised her arm to cover her chest. She later explained that she was worried about revealing too much due to the dress’ see-through material. She finds the dress design beautiful but prefers a simpler style. When asked about the perfect marriage proposal, Karena hopes for a surprise. “I’ve never thought about it. It wouldn’t be a surprise if I try to imagine the process. After all, this is an once-in-a-lifetime event.” Karena added that sometimes she would surprise Raymond with gifts, but emphasized that they are usually inexpensive though sentimental. Karena also quickly denied marriage rumors at the event. When asked if she is ready for Raymond’s proposal, Karena replied, “It won’t happen soon… We’re both busy with work. I have many projects over the next two years. I just hope that after marriage I will be able to have children and build a family, but I will also continue to work on my career.” Karena was later asked if Raymond would make the perfect husband. Karena reminded reporters that he is not her husband, but deserves 100 points as a boyfriend.
