Monday, July 16, 2007 Hong Kong Kary Ng's new album, "In Control", has had excellent selling rates ever since its release. One of the included tracks, 《逼得太緊》(Compelled Too Tightly), has also received no. 1 on every music chart in Hong Kong respectively. The album was good in reviews and sales. Because of this, Kary's management company has thrown a celebration party and had invited all media sources along. Her manager, Paco Wong, encouraged Kary to continue her hard work on-stage, and he expressed that the next aimed goal for Kary is for her to hold a concert in the HK coliseum. When Kary was asked when she will hold an HK coliseum concert, she responded, "I really hope that I am able to do it this year, or at least in the nearby coming years. At the end of this year, I will be holding a mini concert though. It will be a warm-up practice for me, but the location is undecided." When speaking of Theresa Fu being nervous of her debut EP album, Kary responded, "She won't be nervous after she releases a few more albums." Having good album sales, and having her manager, Paco, stating that her next goal is an HK coliseum concert, it seems as though Kary is stepping over Stephy Tang and taking the place of Gold Label's "Yat Jie" (Leading Female Singer), for she will be holding an HK coliseum concert before Stephy. Kary responded with a laugh, "Everyone under Paco's management is no. 1. (Then do you think you are Gold Label's "Yat Jie"?) It doesn't matter to me. The most important thing is that I do my work with my best effort. Titles are given out by others. I don't have any hard feelings towards that. After I actually reach the goal of the HK coliseum concert, then you can call me that (Yat Jie)!" Kary was then asked if she will be scared of her former groupmates from Cookies will be mad if she really became Gold Label's "Yat Jie", and she responded that she is only joking, but she also believes that they will not be out fighting for favour. Kary frankly expressed that having all these media sources present has put a lot of pressure on her. Back-stage, she frequently felt her mouth being dry, and she kept going to the washroom. However, her emotions were controlled nicely, especially when she used to cry very easily. She said, "Now that I'm older, I can't always cry. However, I was very touched during Paco's speech on-stage." Kary thanked Paco for his help throughout her career, and he had solved many of her upsetting problems in the past. But why didn't Kary speak with Stephy, Miki, and Theresa about her problems? Kary explained, "Paco has a lot of life experience, and he also understands the most about my career. However, Stephy looks after me as well since I'm very forgetful." credits: wenweipao.
Kary is being noticed ! ^_^ I really love her songs and I personally like her the most out of Cookies. =) I admire Stephy more for her acting I guess because I think she's really not that great of a singer. o_o Maybe she just doesn't have that kind of "singer" voice and it's often very ... high-pitched. But yeah .. GO KARY !
kary definitely beats stephy at singing, stephy recycles her slowwww formula over and over and it just gets really boring...
hrm no offense to kary fans.. but i liked stephy's songs better.. but yah kary has a few good songs.. not sure which song compelled love is.. but hope it was one of my favorites
Kary wasn't packaged to focus on her image, since generally, people think stephy's prettier. so her goods are laid bare, hence the underdog is coming out
I don't think she can be "yat jie" with a face like that, I mean look at Joey she only became "yat jie"after losing weight and the nose job and who knows what else she did
i don't think any1 can be the true "yat jie" ...... not like the older group of artists ...... e.g. anita mui the current singers can't beat the seniors ...... younger generation still have a long way to go
