Kate Tsui (徐子珊) took part in the press conference today to promote the SaSa Ladies Purse Day <莎莎婦女銀袋日> race event, where she modelled some beautiful racing hats and posed with a white horse.

Last year, Kate was joined by Tracy Ip (葉翠翠) to represent this event, but this year she is on her own. Asked if this was down to Tracy's negative press leading to her jobs being cut down by TVB, Kate avoided the subject and simply spoke about her contract extension with cosmetics company SaSa to be their celebrity spokesperson in Hong Kong, Macau, Singapore and Malaysia. She smiled that part of the offer included a five figure sum's worth of cosmetics, which has benefitted her friends and family.

Kate admitted that the popularity of TVB series Moonlight Resonance <家好月圓> has brought her plenty of money-making opportunities, but pointed out that she has not done as well as Raymond Lam (林峯) or Tavia Yeung (楊怡). However, she still hopes to make even more money in the future.

As for suggestions that Kate has replaced Linda Chung (鍾嘉欣) as the prime candidate for the Best Supporting Actress award at the anniversary celebrations this year and talking about being nominated for the Best Actress award too, Kate said that she did not know how these decisions were made and she was very surprised to be nominated in both categories. Asked if she was confident of a win, she smiled modestly that there was no chance because Susanna Kwan (關菊英) and Michelle Yim (米雪) both gave exceptional performances. She showed her support for Susanna, saying that although her character was a troublemaker, she was actually very sweet.
