how many of you out there who are in a relationship where there is no love anymore and whats left is just companionship maybe or sometimes not even companionship. a question for couples excluding married ones. what? is this just human nature? or because we are just born selfish?
It's common to see couples in a relationship based purely on companionship. Not really selfish, but it's because they are afraid to leave the comfort of that relationship and venture out into the world looking for another and be alone for the time being. They are afraid of loneliness, fear of being neglected, etc. These people can't stand being alone after being in a relationship for so long. They just got to have the guts to take the risk and make a change.
@ OP, Dont really think that companionship exists much in younger couples. This might occur for certain group of ppl like elderly, marriage where there was no love to begin with which later lead to companionship, and so on.... And as BR have said, many ppl cannot stand being alone because humans do need some sort of companionship one way or another.
It's not selfish, it's just like how some single people don't want to get into a relationship easily... We have huge inertia in our life and our behaviour... So human nature it is.
^It's just the fear of adjustment... Like it's so hard to adjust being in a relationship, then u finally done it, so you are lazy to adjust to singlehood all over again... lol
theres no reason, why you cannot be just close friends or somethin...can easily work out that way, if things don't go as planned as you would of thought it would....
selfish?? ummm... ionno... i'd say yes... but that applies to everyone... these days when the passion dies in a relationship ppl r not satisfied with only companionship... even with married couples... so they go out to mess around or even end the relationship to look for new passion... but they don't realise that each time they find new passion it will last shorter n shorter... it's just normal...
I think the love "died" because the couple don't keep it alive? Btw babyrain, your avatar is... eccentric. hehe...
