In her early career, Kenix filmed the first three installments of Detective Investigations Files <刑事偵緝檔案> alongside Michael Tao (陶大宇), enabling her to rise to the peak of her acting career. Marrying Her Other Half, Frankie Lam Kenix married long-term boyfriend, Frankie, after nine years of dating. When Kenix first met Frankie, she thought that he was a typical handsome playboy but disclosed that after getting to know him, he was more than meets the eye. “His personality is very different from what he looks like; he’s a dependable and mature man with loving family ideals.” The pair met on the set of Down Memory Lane <萬里長情>, a 1995 series starring Alex Man (萬梓良) and Michelle Yim (米雪). Frankie usually practiced his lines by himself in the dressing room, and that was when he first caught the attention of the young Kenix. The duo started dating after filming ended and finally got married in 2004. Despite reports about Frankie’s past infidelity, Kenix voiced her trust in her husband and told the media that Frankie is a phenomenal father who loves their daughter, Tania. Kenix said, “When we were dating, Frankie would always indirectly tell me that we should have children! At that time, I didn’t think about having children yet…that’s why we had our first child when I was almost 40 years old.” Tania is the Kenix’s Pride and Joy Since Frankie and Kenix became parents, their topic of conversation revolved around their daughter Tania. Kenix revealed that she enjoys hugging Tania and that it is important to display a lot of love during the earlier onsets of childhood. “Our caretaker usually sleeps in the same room as Tania. When she left, I was afraid that she might not be used to sleeping by herself; now she sleeps in between Frankie and I!” In regards to raising their only child, Kenix and Frankie have only three rules. “I only have three requirements for her. She has to be obedient, self-disciplined, and courteous.” Kenix also voiced her dislike for using frightening tactics in teaching their child. She prefers stating her arguments with principle and said that she does not want to ruin her mother-daughter relationship by yelling at Tania. “Children are very smart nowadays. They learn fast and adults have to set a good example for their children.” It was also discovered that little Tania has quite the musical talent when it comes to piano. “She knew how to play nine songs only after three lessons! She also sings along to classic Chinese songs during our car rides,” Kenix replied enthusiastically. Because Tania is such a self-disciplined and lovable child, the media asked if the pair would consider having more children. Kenix admitted that she had wanted more children initially. However, due to the heavy pollution in Hong Kong and environmental surroundings, it is not really suitable to have another child, but she cannot guarantee that she will not in the future.
