TVB is forking out millions of dollars in producing their upcoming spring festival gala, the TVB Lunar New Year Gold Celebration. While TVB stars Raymond Lam (林峯), Kevin Cheng (鄭嘉穎), Myolie Wu (胡杏兒), and Linda Chung (鍾嘉欣) recorded their segment in Seoul, South Korea, Kenneth Ma (馬國明), Ron Ng (吳卓羲), Sharon Chan (陳敏之), and Edwin Siu (蕭正楠) recorded theirs in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Also in attendance at the special segment were Malaysian stars Siow Hui Mei (萧慧敏), Lenna Lim (林家冰), and Jentzen Lim (林震前). In the Malaysia episode, the stars were required to perform with Chinese drums. While practicing on the drums, Edwin exclaimed that he injured both of his hands, and said, “Both my hands were bleeding. I just wrapped the wounds with a band and went back to work. I didn’t feel the pain when I was hitting the drums, because I had a lot of fun, but it was very painful when I took a shower!” Both Ron and Sharon expressed that this was their first experience at playing with Chinese drums. Ron said, “At first I was worried that I wouldn’t keep up with the pace, but now I got the hang of it and I’m enjoying it! I was the only one practicing last night so I was very lonely. Now there are many students practicing with me. This is exciting!” Hui Mei praised Lenna and Jentzen for being a natural with the drums. Hui Mei cried, “She’s a natural talent! She already got the hang of it within half an hour! She is also a Chinese dancer, so she has great dancing momentum when she plays the drums!” When asked for their vacation plans during the Lunar New Year holidays, Ron said, “I will be spending it in Hong Kong, but on the sixth or seventh lunar day, I will fly to the United States for work.” Sharon said that she will be vacationing in Thailand, while Edwin revealed that he will be moving into a new home. “I will be very busy… busy renovating my new home!” Creds: Sina
