The veteran Hong Kong actor-singer and girlfriend were involved in a scuffle with his former sister-in-law Kenny Bee divorced his wife, Teresa Cheung 12 years ago. However, the passage of time has done little to cure the feelings of resentment. In April this year, a scuffle involving Kenny, his current girlfriend Fan Jiang and Teresa's younger sister, Cheung Xiao Wan took place in an apartment building. Cheung then lodged a police report, claiming to have been "pushed to the wall" by the couple. Her mobile phone was also said to be maliciously destroyed and thrown on the floor. Police had arrived at the scene of the incident and had investigated the case by looking through the building's security tapes. Fan Jiang was arrested and charged with criminal damage. She was later released on a HK$1,000 (S$162) bail. After almost seven months of investigation, it was found that Kenny was also involved in the scuffle and by the end of last month, a formal prosecution was made. A police spokesperson confirmed that Kenny and Fan Jiang are each facing one count of criminal damage. Additionally, Fan Jiang is charged with "assault that led to bodily harm". The couple is due to appear in court. Meanwhile, both Kenny and Fan Jiang have been busy shuttling between Taiwan and Beijing to promote their new projects. The couple did not seem visibly affected by the impending court case. When pressed on the case by the media, Kenny explained that the matter has been handed over to his lawyer and could not reveal details of the case.
