There have been several important women in Kevin Cheng Ka Wing's life. Aside from his mother, female benefactors such as TVB's Catherine Tsang, Amy Wong, and Virginia Lok Yi Ling have all assisted Kevin throughout various stages in his career.

Before signing with TVB, Kevin had a slumping music career in Taiwan for 5 years. In 2001, Kevin signed with TVB under Catherine Tsang's invitation. Amy Wong was the first producer to cast him in TVB series, "Burning Flame 2." Catherine Tsang then featured Kevin in "Loving You," allowing him to play 10 different characters. Catherine had noted that the series was to test Kevin; luckily he passed.

Another important benefactor was Virginia Lok, who signed Kevin as a TVB managed artist. Broadening his opportunities beyond television as well, Kevin recently filmed movies and staged concert appearances.

Kevin starred as the first male lead in new series, "Life Art" 《寫意人生》. Due to the former slump in his career, Kevin realized that good opportunities were rare and it was important to seize them timely.

Since becoming TVB's #1 Brother, was Kevin satisfied? Without hesitation, Kevin replied, "I can not say I am satisfied with my career and love life."

Although Kevin leads a simple lifestyle and eating a tasty wonton noodle soup satisfies him, his career ambitions are much higher. When one becomes satisfied with one's current state, then one's drive and motivation in life can be easily lost.

There are still numerous things Kevin would like to accomplish. As an Oxfam partner, Kevin contributes money on a monthly basis to assist orphaned children. Currently assisting 2 children, he will support additional children as his income capacity increases.

In the interview, Kevin spoke about his father. In his childhood, Kevin did not spend a lot of time with his father. Due to Mr. Cheng's uncommunicative nature and the fact that he passed away when Kevin was only 21 years old, Kevin never had a chance to truly know his father.

When Kevin was a youth, he did not know how to communicate his feelings towards his father. Now there was no chance; Kevin felt regret that his father was unable to witness his current accomplishments.
