Kevin Cheng & Niki Chow's First Day of Filming for 'The Most Beautiful 7th Day'

Kevin Cheng Ka Wing and Niki Chow Lai Kei started their first day of filming for new TVB series, "The Most Beautiful 7th Day." The scene spoke of how Kevin and Niki's characters meet for the first time. Kevin is a lifeguard and when he spotted a thief snatching Niki's purse, he immediately went on a car chase to go after the thief on the motorcycle!

TVB's "The Most Beautiful 7th Day" is regarded as an informal sequel to "Under the Canopy of Love," since it stars the same cast, Kevin, Niki, and Bosco Wong Chung Chak. But the plots of both series are independent.

In the scene which was filmed yesterday, Kevin successfully caught the thief that stole Niki's purse. Kevin and Niki had to go to the police station afterwards to file the necessary crime incident reports. Since his car door was wrecked in the car chase, Kevin used a rope to secure his broken car door and gave Niki a lift home.

The scene is reminiscent of 2004 Korean movie, "A Moment to Remember," starring Kim Soo Jin and Choi Chol Soo. There is almost 90% similiarity. The female lead character also got a lift home from the male lead character. The interior of the car was extremely messy and had a lot of "garbage" piles inside.

Kevin said, "I have watched 'A Moment to Remember.' When I filmed 'Split Second' a few years ago, it was dubbed as copying '24,' 'Infernal Affairs' and 'PTU.' But the most important thing is that the series is entertaining to watch and there is room for creativity. I respect the script. Whether it is similiar to 'A Moment to Remember' or not is dependent on the viewer's perspective."

The reporter asked Kevin whether the female lead character will also be diagnosed with a terminal illness? Kevin said, "I can't reveal that detail yet. TVB wants to maintain an air of mystery."

Niki laughed, "I did not watch 'A Moment to Remember,' so I can not say whether there are similiarities in plot." (Will Niki's character have a terminal illness?) "No it will not be such a critical situation. But there will be a very sweet ending."

Based on Kevin and Niki's responses, the ending for "The Most Beautiful 7th Day" may share similiarities to Korean movie 'A Moment to Remember,' in which female lead Kim Soo Jin had Alzheimers, causing her to lose memories of her beloved, Choi Chol Soo. But Choi tried his best to save his marriage with Kim. It can be therefore guessed that Niki's character, who might also have a terminal illness, will recover under the loving support of Kevin's character.
