Sunday September 21, 2008 Hong Kong Roger Kwok (郭晉安), Kevin Cheng (鄭嘉穎), Yoyo Mung (蒙嘉慧), Elaine Yiu (姚子羚), Chun Wong (秦煌) and Kiki Sheung (商天娥) were among the cast members taking part in a promotional premiere screening for TVB's new series Last One Standing <與敵同行> yesterday. The series begins airing tomorrow evening in Hong Kong. Kevin was asked about the recent continuous reports suggesting that he is dating Charmaine Sheh (佘詩曼). He smiled that over his 15 years in the industry, he has had an endless string of romance rumours, but he has never been as busy as he has this month. He said that he did not wish for it to be this way, but if it helps to promote his new show, then he does not mind so much. With so much pressure on him constantly, Kevin was asked what he does to unwind and relax. He replied that he likes to go and play tennis with Roger. As for whether he will play with any of his female friends, he said that he only plays with male friends. As for the reports that his other rumoured girlfriend Niki Chow (周麗淇) announced that everyone in showbiz are just colleagues and not friends, Kevin pointed out that he and Niki are friends and there is no awkwardness when they meet. He then added that he did not want to say any more about the rumours. In the new series, Roger plays a villain and asked if he was worried about this affecting his image, he said that the character is not very evil and just reflects the shadier side that exists within everyone. Asked whether or not he would feel additional pressure with this series taking over the prime time slot from the hugely successful Moonlight Resonance <家好月圓>, Roger said that the two dramas are very different, so he is not confident that his show will do well and after having so many weeks of cakes, then the viewers will be looking for something else to satisfy their appetites. Yoyo was also confident that the series will do well and smiled that the timing was perfect to coincide with Kevin's rumours. Asked about the success of boyfriend Ekin Cheng (鄭伊健)'s film success with Rule Number One <第一誡> and his nomination for Best Actor at the Tokyo Film Festival, Yoyo replied surprisingly that she was not aware of this, but was happy for him, saying that to be nominated for an award is a bonus for any artiste. Asked if she would celebrate with Ekin, she replied that she would if he goes on to win the Tokyo award. credits: batgwa.
