Kevin Furious With Outrageous Rumours; Accused of Getting an Abortion with Ex-Lover, Linda Wong

The latest tabloid reports claimed that Kevin Cheng (鄭嘉穎) previously accompanied his ex-girlfriend, Linda Wong (王馨平), to have an abortion 18 years ago. Presumably, Linda’s natural pregnancy odds were destroyed after that, forcing her to undergo fertility treatments. Furious from the latest rumors slandering Linda, Kevin criticized tabloids for unethically fabricating news reports!

In a radio interview with Eileen Cha (查小欣), Kevin took the chance to clear up Linda’s abortion rumors. Even though breaking up, Kevin and Linda stayed in contact and remained as friends. Kevin urged Linda to communicate clearly with her husband, Stephen Lee, to avoid any potential misunderstandings regarding the abortion rumors. Kevin was primarily worried that Linda’s marriage will be negatively affected.

Kevin said angrily, “Actually Linda is happily married right now. Please do not fabricate these kinds of rumors! Rumors like these may damage other people’s lives and marriages! You should not fabricate to this extent! There is no proof; they are all lies!”

As a result of Kevin’s current popularity, the media recently became keen on reporting his past romance with Linda Wong, such as the earlier news that her father, Wang Yu (??) did not approve of their relationship. To Kevin, his memories of his prior relationship with Linda were invaluable and although he did not mind information being reported, he protested tabloids’ downright lies.

Kevin seemed essentially apologetic that Linda’s reputation was slandered in the abortion rumors. He said, “There are things that are beyond my control. What is important at this time is how to cope with the situation correctly.”

In addition, Kevin responded to TVB actor, Sin Ho Ying’s (冼灝英) critique that Kevin possessed a bad character while filming Gloves Come Off <拳王> together. Kevin had taken into account that tabloids might have exaggerated upon Sin Sifu’s original reply. Kevin said, “Perhaps during the interview, his words were twisted. I’m accustomed to this!”

Despite the media’s occasional unpleasant rumors and criticisms towards Kevin including his “stiff” acting and branding him with nicknames like “Rubber Wing” he was used to it. “I need to thank the media for reminding me. Or else, I won't bite back my teeth to prove myself.”
