Regardless if this article is a hoax or not, probably the worst thing in life to have is buyer's regret over a tattoo. I actually know of more than a few people who have had tattoos, that later wish they didn't (for a variety of reasons; placement, size, color, design, or to have one at all). It's a rather permanent statement on your body for what may have been a transient sentiment during one evening of careless drinking. I personally think that the tattoo industry needs better regulation to prevent such problems in the future. There should be a mandatory waiting period. Also, especially in those that are very young, notarized two parent permission should be required. For artwork done on someone's face or genitals, the recipient should undergo psychological counseling beforehand, as these are especially viewable or emotionally sensitive areas of an average person, and should not even be allowed in minors. That is, the tattoo artist cannot do your face or genitals unless you have a doctor's note, and it be illegal for tattooing a minor's face or genitals. If the article is genuine, then I really feel sorry for that girl. She made a very uninformed choice and now it seems that she's trying to lay the blame elsewhere. :rolleyes2: ***Sidebar 1 *** As for personality, what 18 year old would sit in their kitchen smoking in front of their elders? That says a lot to me about the kind of persona she has; I subtly read that as, she's one who hangs out, will probably get pregnant before she's out of high school, and yes, one to get a wild tattoo on her face after a night of getting high. Im pretty sure she got home n got laughed it or punched in her stomach cuz she looks like shit for life now.... @ralph: i dont think the tattoo artists need better regulation... its one's own responsibility.... what i do agree on is there is an age rule that the artist should follow... anyone who is 18y.o+ should take responsibility for his/her own deeds.... if u regret it then its the customers fault... go get it removed or something but its not the the artist's fault
^ my fam made me take responsibility for my actions when i hit 12, its so obvious she is trying to get out of it, no human can sleep through getting stabbed in the face with needles.
see i think i would rather go to him for my tattoo than someone with bare skin or a few tats clearly he likes tattoos and knows a thing or 2 about them.
True, but on the other hand, the nose rings, multiple piercings around his mouth and those things stretching out his earlobes kinda tells he's more into using flesh for self mutilation as an art form. The tattoos, which I agree he's probably exceptionally good at, may just be a part of that process. But in this regard, having a young girl, who didn't have a tattoo before, coming into his shop and suddenly asking to have half her face permanently marked, ...wasn't enough to give him pause. Further, from his statement, of having just the face outlined, and then discovering that the girl became down on the whole idea after her father appeared; should have gave him pause to reconsider. However, it didn't and he presumably finished doing what he was doing (in effect making it even worse). To him, it obviously seems that the end all of everything is tattoos, regardless if someone is going to be eventually psychologically scarred or not, didn't seem to matter to him. So yes, I agree that he's really good at his craft, but so good that he puts his craft way ahead of his concern (if any) for his customer's well being or needs. Like I stated, I wouldn't let him within ten feet of me.
