I got some Raw Abalone from Australia... there's still some greenish color around the sides. I need help, I do not know how to cook Raw Abalone >.< Any recipes to help me? ty. Rei
Lol...When I was small my sister brought a box of fresh abalone for us from Australia. My mom was in the same situation just as you are now. Most of it ended as food for our beloved dog^^ Can't help you much. Make soup or fried them. Abalone with Oyster sauce.Abalone with Chinese mushroom or abalone with Asparagus tips. Must be very quick in frying or it will get 'old' -hard- Cut to very thin slices and you may put them in the wok at last.!! Prepare soup with it. Abalone,Chicken-without skin,Fish Maw &little dried Scallops and mushroom.Put the Fish Maw last.Don't forget to put the dried ingridents in water overnight^^Sliced the abalone. I love the fresh fishy taste of this soup.
well, lets hope I wont mess up gave most of it away to relatives, hope they know what to do with it hehe.
there is a cooking show here some where that teaches how to cook raw abalone. Something you don't want to do is scrub the abalone cause it'll make it tough. You should cook it the day you got it or the next day. Don't keep live abalone for too long. See if these help [HIDE] http://www.abc.net.au/tv/cookandchef/txt/s1767932.htm http://diver.net/seahunt/abalone/abalone.htm[/HIDE]
