Fatherhood is right around the corner for 36-year-old TVB actor Lai Lok-yi (黎諾懿), whose wife, Nicole Lee (李潔瑩), is expecting to deliver a baby boy on April 26. There’s still over a month left until the big day, but Lok-yi has already locked into dad mode. Lok-yi and Nicole, a former Miss Hong Kong contestant and the heiress of a $500 million HKD beauty business, got married in 2014. The couple dated for two years before tying the knot. Their financial disparity was often discussed by the media, but that didn’t stop Lok-yi and Nicole from growing closer. Lok-yi didn’t even ask his in-laws for help during the wedding preparations with Nicole, bagging himself some extra bonus points from her family. Now over eight months pregnant, Nicole and Lok-yi are scrambling about to welcome the birth of their first child, who has been given the nickname “Little Spring Chicken”. Hong Kong paparazzi recently spotted the couple shopping for baby products at a shopping mall in Causeway Bay, and the expectant parents were in a great mood. Nicole jokingly got Lok-yi to test out the breast pumps she wanted to buy, and even had Lok-yi test a baby bottle. After shopping, the couple stopped by a western restaurant for lunch. Nicole ordered an entire table of food, which included pizza, spaghetti, and snack bites. Lok-yi, however, did not eat much, and only settled for some coffee. Perhaps he was waiting to eat Nicole’s leftovers? After their lunch, the couple went to an Obstetrics & Gynecology clinic for a check-up. Reporters followed Lok-yi and Nicole to the center, where they overheard the receptionist call Lok-yi and Nicole “Mr. and Mrs. Ma”—referring to Lok-yi’s character, John Ma, in the sitcom Come Home Love <愛•回家>—by mistake. Lok-yi and Nicole tried not to laugh when they stepped into their doctor’s office. Creds: Eastweek
