laptop hhd password

hi my m8 somehow let his m8 set a hhd password on his laptop for some reason he knows what it is ofc but he doesnt know how to remove it n niether i

so how do u remove the hhd password?

hhd password is promoted when u turn on ur pc b4 it starts the OS

 

try to get into the bios of the laptop. when u power it on press the F2 button. if that does nothing, turn the power off, then try it again with esc key(it might also be del key, same routine) and then select "Enter setup"
scroll over to the security tab (with arrows) then "setup pass word"
it will either give you option to clear, or setup new one.
after you have done that, scroll over to the exit tan, and select "save and exit"
