They're different; different pins etc. And if you had to ask, I wouldn't recommend you tinkering with the insides of either of those machines lol.
yea. theres DDR, DDR2, and notebook ram, with different numbers of pins like Xzyrus said. better off buying new ram, based on what your pc/laptop needs. and yes, notebook ram is more expensive cuz it is smaller.
functions the same...but you cant stick them into each other's motherboard slots..lol not to mention not many people actually opens up their own laptop to "customize" it..
They are differnt, do not try to use it cuz it might indeed break ur laptop, or the pc wherever ur trying to use them. also if u did take them out, make sure u put them back to the right type of computer
