TVB's "Last One Standing" broadcasted a 2 hour finale last Saturday, the ratings were 31 points (approximately 1.95 million viewers), peaking at 34 points (approximately 2.14 million viewers); The average ratings for the previous week was 31 points, increased 3 points. The Boardcasting Authority (BA) recieved 20 complaints for "Last One Standing", complaining mainly on that the series was too bloody. Tong Lap Yin (Played by Roger Kwok) was so shocking that "bounced up" At the very end of the series, Roger Kwok "bounced up" from his bed in prison, this scene was very shocking. Audience claimed that this leaves a hint for a sequel. Producer Wong Sam Wai clarifies that this scene was just to show that Tong Lap Yin's personality did not change after all. He was evil from beginning to end. Even in the very last moment he showed that he misunderstood his girlfriend (Yoyo Mung) and Cheung Sing Hei (Kevin Cheng) that they were a pair, therefore in the very last scene of the series, he became very angry that he suddenly "popped up" from his sleep. As to if there will be a sequel? Wong Sam Wai explains that she is currently preparing for her two future series and that doesn't includes "Last One Standing Sequel", but she does not guarantee that there won't be a possibility of filming a sequel because the story has some room for development. Wong Sum Wai said that the success of the series ratings is expected, there are some audiences that really like it and yet there are many others that do not like the genre of the series - too intense and bloody. She praises the two main leads once again, Kevin's performance was strong. As for Roger, he proved that he was able to act as an evil villain. Towards the chances that Kevin can become TV King again depending on this series? Wong Sum Wai supports Kevin's performance saying that its a breakthrough, she is very satisfied with his performance. Roger Kwok does not mind Award has no gold This year's TVB anniversary awards may not have gold wrapped around the awards due to the issues TVB has with its sponsor. Originally the Awards will have gold particles on it, but now it may turn into cropper. Roger has part in competing for the TV King title, he said: "Each year more than $100,000 are used to make the awards, it has a high meaning. This year we need to try out other materials to make the award, hope that colleagues will not mind. I of course do not mind, even if the award is made out of other materials, it's still special!" uh too violent? thats why it says "Parental Guidance Required", if its too violent then DON'T WATCH IT or DON'T LET YOUR KIDS WATCH IT they air it during Prime Time, what you want cartoons?
yeh LOL....they might do sequel....but maybe with a diff storyline to get away from the blood an gore...? but it was refreshing to see roger play the baddie ^^
Nah .. I enjoyed the show but not sure about a sequel will fit well. There were some parts that I thought they could have been more realistic. For example, I would expect the police to do a search and rescue of the area where Roger jumped off the cliff but nothing. Another example was when others jumped off the building they died but when the leading actor jumped, they just happen to survive and WELL .. hmmm .. just funny.
il love to see a sequel of this show. my parents loved this show too! they havent enjoyed a show for such a long time.
Geez...get a life. Maybe someone should show them what real violence looks like! This was a great series. In fact, I think it was more interesting than Moonlight Resonance (preparing myself for the bashing that will follow this comment!). It totally deserves better ratings
^lol MR was only good coz like all the see lai's liked it , and it had a happy ending blah blah, and it had all that lovey family crap, Last One Standing is way better but the see lais complained bout it........
