Lawrence Ng (吳啟華) is reportedly gearing up for a battle against ex-wife, Shi Yangzi (石洋子), for custody of their 6-year-old daughter. Lawrence and Yangzi were married in 2007 and had their daughter one year later. In late 2014, Lawrence announced that he and his wife had decided to split after seven years of marriage. Being 21 years apart in age, it was said that Yangzi’s marriage to Lawrence hindered her youth and career. Although Lawrence said he and his former wife would share the custody of their daughter, recent reports alleged that Lawrence has changed his mind and is attempting to file for sole custody of their daughter. Lawrence was reportedly upset that Yangzi chose to focus more on her acting career, which resulted in neglecting their daughter. Yangzi also reportedly has a new boyfriend, as she was spotted on a hotpot date with a young man nearly two months after her divorce with Lawrence was finalized. Speculating that Yangzi may have plans to start a new family soon, Lawrence is afraid that their daughter is not ready to have a new stepfather yet.
