Leo Ku Promotes the Wise Use of Electricity As the Ambassador of 'Wise Electricity Usage', Leo led a group of primary school students on a field trip to an electricity-generating factory at Lamma Island last Saturday. As the factory is not normally open to public, the children as well as Leo were very excited to get the chance of seeing the different facilities in the building. The head of the factory even brought Leo to the viewing platform to see the overall view of the factory and the charcoal field. After the trip, Leo's deepest impression is the field of wind turbines which is 100 plus metres above ground. At the side of the field, visitor information is provided on 'Recyclable Energy' like wind, solar energy and natural gas. Leo then urged the school children to use electricity wisely. When asked about post-trip feelings, Leo revealed an embarrassing incident," There were mountains of charcoal left unsheltered in the factory, so I asked the head of factory what would happen if it rains. He replied saying wet charcoal is still fine for combustion. I asked again why wet charcoal doesn't work for BBQ normally. He looked bewildered, then only I knew I confused myself between charcoal and carbon, that was really embarrassing." Leo added that he has seen an entire electricity-generating factory in video games, but found great differences after this trip. Source: The Sun
