There are rife speculations that the four-year marriage of 45-year-old Leon Lai (黎明) and 32-year-old Gaile Lok (樂基兒) is shaky, with the couple possibly heading for a divorce. Leon and Gaile started dating in 2005 and secretly registered their marriage in the United States three years later. Due to conflicting schedules, the couple has little time together. Last year, Gaile admitted that they had plans to have a baby, which eventually did not materialize. Gaile Applies for Immigration of Her Dog According to the tabloids, Leon and Gaile reportedly had signed the divorce papers. In March, Gaile applied for immigration of her beloved Chihuahua, Tiger, and suspicions arose if she intends to reside in the United States. In July, Leon stepped down as the Director from a company co-owned with Gaile and remains only a shareholder. Gaile’s mother admitted that her daughter had applied immigration for her dog, but was tight-lipped about the couple’s marriage. When asked if Gaile intends to reside in the United States, her mother replied, “I am not sure. My daughter is always travelling!” Gaile’s mother also expressed that she had not seen Leon since the beginning of the year, and was not aware that he had resigned as a director from the company, jointly owned by Gaile and Leon. When asked if she filed for immigration papers for her beloved dog, Gaile dodged the question and replied, “My dog is still in Hong Kong.” Asked if Leon had resigned from the couple’s company, Gaile said, “You can even check on this?” Responding to the divorce rumors, Gaile replied, “If I am divorced, you will be able to find out!” At a promotional event recently, Leon was seen dodging the media. After taking the photo, he exited backstage, quickly refusing to accept any interviews.
