Tuesday January 30, 2007 Hong Kong Leon Lai To Gather 4 Heavenly Kings at his concert Leon Lai 'protégé', Janice Wei Lan, first-ever-concert will be held at the end of March for 4 nights. The organizer on seeing the hot response is thinking of adding shows, but LL intercepts the slots, he is planning to stage a 4 Heavenly Kings Concert. If Jacky Cheung, Andy & Aaron Kwok agree to take part, it will be one of the most eye-catching concerts in 07. In the 90s the 4 Heavenly Kings were very popular, 4 of them fought so hard among themselves, each having their own classics, Jacky has his Loving You A Little More Everyday, Andy has Days Together, Leon Lai has Which Day I Don’t Think of You, while Aaron has The Call of Love. Their songs headed many pop charts. Countless many other songs were similarly popular. At the 25th annual JSG music awards, the 4 of them were invited to be present, but it failed to materialize, it was a disappointment to the fans. But this time, as planned by Leon Lai perhaps it will come true. In the concert, he will be singing classics songs of the 4 of them, while the other 3 are invited as guests. A music, Leon Lai record company higher officer admitted, "Janice has thought of adding shows but because of Leon Lai plan, she has no chance to add shows." Is Leon Lai inviting the others as guests? I never seen the four of them together before. Its kinda cool that all four of them are willing to appear even though they're competing. Too bad leon wasnt in the chinese street fighter movie, would have been a classic
I read from another source that this was may have been made up by the media. They asked the 3 other kings and they each said they were not aware of the situation, and some only knew from reading the news. Jacky said he is busy with his world concert and couldn't make it anyways. Andy said he will be busy filming in china. The funniest was when the media asked Aaron if Leon called him personally would he attend and he replied with something like "I don't think Leon would personally call me" lol
im not a big fan of all four, but yeah, it wud be cool if they did manage to get together to stage sumthing... again, not sure if jacky'll have time b/w his world tour... i remember when the four of them sang the tribute to leslie after he died... it was acappella and all four were off-key, unfortunately, some more than others... but then, it was acappella nehow, hope this concert materializes
the four of them together would be a great concert. greww up in the 90s and listened to all 4 of em all the time.
