I will be getting my upgrade for my phone soon and was wondering if the LG Viewty was any good. Is there any other good phones out there that you guys can recommend???
From reviews, its a really good phone. I was thinking of getting it but i decided to get the Samsung F700 instead. The full qwerty keypad sold it for me. The phone should be arriving tommorow!
LG viewty meant to be quite good, but its easy to break, my friend had it for 2 weeks and had to return it because of some bugs with the phone :S. the iphone is meant to be really good but only if you can afford it XD
It looks pretty good. I'm still not really a big fan of any touchscreen phones yet, they scratch easily and you'll get fingerprints and stuff on it really fast.
Touch screen doesnt scratch easily as long as you use the stylus. Ive used so many that i never had problem with it. Gotta agree with you tho on the fingerprints, its like a magnet to it.
lol they made stuff scratch resistant, wonder if they can make stuff with smooth glossy surfaces finger print resistant later on lol...
The thing is i cant afford a Iphone and even if i could i wouldnt pay the amount its asking (£269 ~ approx $555 PLUS a 18 month contract) but the Viewty is better (from what i have read) because of its 5mp camera. But the problem about it breaking easily is valid because a) the camera does not have a shutter protector b) the screen is apparently SOOO easy to scratch but apparently the touch screen is very good and reacts nicely and it also has a vibration setting so that when you press it vibrates.
The interface on the Iphone is first class without doubt but the features it offers does not warrant the high price tag for me personally. If you after a touch screen phone, Viewty, Prada and F700 are the only phones out as far as im aware (UK anyway)
well my mate has the prada and i must say nothing special really lol except the very nice case it comes with lol
hmmm ok i actually own a viewty and i'll give my review ^^ ok ermmm text is a bum ¬¬ my fat fingers are still finding it hard to text at a efficient speed. photos of course are pretty neat as it does have a 5mp cam. no shutter ¬¬ so lack of protection for the lens ='[ scratches on screen easily??? hmmm thats new to me because i havent got any. also the phone comes with a screen protector why you buy it... ONE BIG BIG BIG FAULT THOUGHT... the phone does not like to read my memory card that i have inserted into it at times... sometimes it will suddenly decide not to read my micro sd in it...o.0 Overall when my memory card does work the phone is working pretty well. but i will keep you noted if i come up with any problems fingers crossed i dont >.< hmmm what type of phone are you looking for??? if its a camera phone then viewty... or the sony ericsson that has a 5mp camera too. music wise??? sony has released a few neat walkman phones, if not into SE then get the iphone =P
or u could get the nokia n95 cos thats quite gd also. but if u want a cheaper phone then the samsung g600 isn't too bad esp for its price.
Well i really liked the fact that the Viewty was touch screen + 5mp camera while there isnt a SE which is touch screen interface (not buttonless buttons lol) i dont think (poss wrong) but i do really crave for the good music software which is on the SE's but im not sure what they use on the LG's. I initially wanted to get the iphone but when it came out the price was appalling so i had my heart set on getting a iphone wannabe for cheaper UNTIL today when i walked into a O2 store and they had the iphone out as a demo and now im very sad becuase i dont have the money to get it T.T and my heart is swaying is aching lol. But yea... main things i want in the phone is -Good cam -Decent music player -Touch Screen
