The event seeks to promote the Asian modeling industry and increase the popularity of the region's top models. The annual award show which combines the fashion show and awards ceremony was started in 2006 by the Korea Foundation for International Culture Exchange and a South Korea model institute. This is also Asia's only event to show recognition for models.
