Because of politics and speaking the wrong words, Lin Chiling (林志玲) and Rainie Yang (楊丞琳) have been put on the black list of Mainland China's television stations, and were not present in many important evening events. However, in 2009 there is good news, with Xiamen TV yesterday announcing: "Lin Chiling has passed clearance, and she will appear in our Chinese New Year Gala night." Rainie Yang's manager also expressed, that her new album, 'Declaration of Semi-Maturity 半熟宣言' is already on sale in China. She has finished promoting her album in China and will be returning to Taiwan, and her work has never been affected by the criticsm.

Last year, Lin Chiling was swopped by China Central Television for it's Mid Autumn Festival Night when doubts of her family's political 'colour' surfaced. However, she and her family repeatedly denied that they were involved in politics, and didn't support one and not another. The fact that she wasn't able to host, "Was my own fault, that I didn't prepare enough. I hope that in the future I would be able to have this chance again." After this incident, Chiling's events and commercials in Mainland China were not affected, but she didn't ever appear in important television channels anymore.

China's three biggest television station's (Jiangsu Satellite TV, Hunan Satellite TV, Shanghai Dragon TV) New Year Gala list did not include her. However, because the broadcasting area for Xiamen Satellite TV, located in the south, is in the southern coastal area, they broke through the restrictions. Under the repeated invitation from producer Wang Wei Zhong (王偉忠), Lin Chiling promised to turn up. Under fear of a recurrence of the Autumn Festival, her management company has remained tight-lipped about it. It is expected that Lin Chiling would be appearing in Xiamen Satellite TV, giving her more chance to break the ice and appear in another important events.

Because of this careless sentence: "The war only lasted 8 years ah?", Rainie Yang was banned from China's television stations. During New Year's Eve, Yoga Lin (林宥嘉) and Joanna Wang (王若琳) appeared in Jiangsu Satellite TV, and Angela Chang (張韶涵) in Shanghai Dragon TV. There was no sign of Rainie in any important TV station. Gao Ling Feng (高凌風), who attended the event in Shanghai Dragon TV, said: "I heard that there were some people who wanted to speak up for Rainie, but they were scared that they would hit the wrong nail. I think this needs a bit more time."

Actually, Rainie's albums and dramas have all entered China, and in these few years, after a lot of hard work, she has managed to melt some of the ice. She will still hold promotional events, and is waiting for the invitation from China's biggest TV stations.
