I'm looking for suggestions or for a list of Chinese names for a baby girl, preferably with both the Cantonese romanization and the Chinese symbols. Please skip all names that were part of any sex scandal ... lol EDIT: We decided to choose the following name: 樂怡 / 乐怡 / Lok Yee
yeah i agree go for names and all that but if you want a deeper meaning for you baby girl, for superstitious reasons go for them superstitious/fung shuy people, for family reasons maybe your parents or grandparents if they are into chiense literature etc, or maybe just a very wise old man/woman who knows what they are talkin about
I would suggest you ask someone who is more knowledgeable in chinese and ask what is a good name and have them explain each characters meaning and what it means after you combine it together. You should give some opinions of what you likes and dislikes as well.
do want her chinese name to sound similar to her english name?? i thought of a name 天兒 [Tin Yee in canto]... it means the child from God... or 天欣 [Tin Yan in canto] meaning born with happiness... both names are very feminine and sort of common... not sure if ur looking for something more unisex or unique
u guys r so mean... >.< please give constructive ideas... the poor guy doesn't know chinese... help him think of a good name for her baby girl...
why dun u ask her parents to come with a name? I mean older ppl mostly know this kidna stuff... my name (same goes for siblings) was given by my grandfather
