Would you prefer to give up your dream career to be with the love of your life, without the guarantee that you'll be with him/her happily together? Or would you prefer to give up the love of your life to have your dream career without the guarantee that you'll be successful and happy with it? I'd choose the love of my life because whats the point of working in your dream job, and having no one to share your success with, right? Besides, my feeling is that if my guy really loved me, he'd probably tell me to go after my career, since he'd be there for me regardless. hehe, let's just hope I find that perfect guy!
I used to be under the same mentality as you, but nowadays, I think it's very important that girls do not give up everything for love. If you choose your career, at least you can still support yourself in the event that a relationship does not work out. But I do agree that if the person really is 'the love of your life,' he/she wouldn't get in your way of going after your dreams and goals. On the other hand, he/she would want to be there to share the experience with you. My sister has already chosen for her career, which required her to move away, but her boyfriend was extremely supportive, and they're now carrying a long distance relationship.
I'll choose love . But shy has a really good point tho...hmm, I might have to sleep on this one. haha
